The short answer: in a mafia arranged marriage a father, a boss, or a debt decides the wedding, so the marriage is real before the feeling is. Below are ten mafia romances built that way, including The New American Mafia, three interconnected books in which all three marriages are arranged.
Not every arranged marriage in this subgenre is arranged the same way. Roughly half of these are
two-family alliances, where fathers or bosses negotiate a wedding to end a war or seal a
partnership. The other half are marriages taken as a price: a debt is called in, a threat is made,
and a daughter or a sister is the payment. Both get shelved as arranged marriage, and readers search
for them the same way, so it is worth working out which kind a book is before you start.
The list runs from the standard entry points outward. The one book here that does not resolve in
a single volume is last.
1. Bound by Honor
Cora Reilly · Born in Blood Mafia Chronicles, Book 1
Aria Scuderi, daughter of a Chicago Mob family, was betrothed at fifteen to Luca Vitiello, heir
to the New York Cosa Nostra, to keep peace between the two families. She marries a man she barely
knows and is genuinely afraid of, one who earned the nickname "The Vice" by crushing a man's throat
with his bare hands.
2. The Sweetest Oblivion
Danielle Lori · Made, Book 1
Elena Abelli is the "Sweet Abelli," the perfect mafia principessa, and she is drawn to Nicolas
Russo, a made man and a boss, while he is engaged to her sister. When the opportunity comes, her
father makes sure Elena takes her sister's place in the arrangement.
3. Brutal Prince
Sophie Lark · Brutal Birthright, Book 1
Aida Gallo crashes a party at the Griffin mansion and accidentally burns down the library,
reigniting a generations-old war between Chicago's Italian and Irish outfits. To stop it, her
father marries her off to Callum Griffin, heir to the Irish mafia. She poisons him on their wedding
night.
4. The New American Mafia
N. E. Henderson · Three interconnected books, read in order
Three couples, three weddings, one family being built out of pieces that are not supposed to
fit. Bad Princess puts Sienna Caputo opposite Matteo De Salvo. Dark Prince gives
Ren and Sasha Nikolayev the Russian side of the house. Deviant Knight closes the arc with
Dom, Ciera and Krishna in an MMF romance. Every one of the three marriages is arranged, and in each
book the couple does not know that is what is happening to them until well after it has already
happened.
Formats: All three ebooks are free to read in Kindle Unlimited, and all three have audiobooks sold wide.
5. Silent Vows
Jill Ramsower · The Byrne Brothers, Book 1
After a car accident killed her mother, twenty-year-old Noemi Mancini became a selective mute
and a prisoner in her father's house. He offers her to the Irish mob in exchange for power, and
Connor Reid accepts.
6. His Tesoro
Emilia Rossi · Empire of Royals, Book 1
Sofiya, daughter of the head of the Bratva, has spent her life hidden away because of her
hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and an arranged marriage is finally her way out. Matteo,
hardened by betrayal, treats the marriage as a business transaction.
7. Tempted by the Devil
Michelle Heard · Kings of Mafia, Book 1
Vittoria Romano is handed over in marriage to Angelo Rizzo, a feared Cosa Nostra capo, to settle
her stepbrother's debt. The book carries her from fear and mistrust to loyalty and love.
8. Filthy Rich
Serena Akeroyd · The Five Points' Mob Collection, Book 2
Eoghan is an Irish mobster in his thirties. Inessa is a barely eighteen-year-old Bratva
princess. Their fathers force them to the altar purely to build an alliance between the families,
and neither of them wants any part of it.
9. Urgent Vows
Lucy Monroe · Syndicate Rules
When Catalina's sister vanishes on her wedding morning, Catalina is the one left standing in
front of the priest in the wedding dress. To save her sister's life she marries the don her sister
abandoned, Severu, thirty-five to her twenty-five.

Bree Porter · The Rocchetti Dynasty, Book 1

capo of the Chicago Outfit, a man known as "The Godless." The marriage begins bloody, and the
violence does not stop at the wedding.
